The Fine Arts course at Khazani Vocational Women Institute is a comprehensive, skill-oriented programme designed to develop students’ artistic abilities from foundation to advanced levels. The course offers in-depth training in drawing, painting, and visual expression using a wide range of traditional and contemporary mediums.
Students begin by learning the *fundamentals of art, including line, form, balance, light and shade, colour theory, and composition. Through structured practice in still life, object drawing, portrait study, outdoor study, and anatomy, learners strengthen observation skills, proportion, and creative expression. The programme also introduces **clay work, texture studies (2D & 3D), and folk and traditional art forms*, encouraging both creativity and craftsmanship.
Painting techniques are explored extensively using pencil shading, pen and ink, water colour, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, oil colours, and mixed media, on canvas and handmade sheets. Along with practical work, students gain strong theoretical knowledge of Indian art history, including prehistoric art, classical traditions, modern Indian art movements, and regional styles such as Mughal, Rajasthani, Pahari, and Company School.
By the end of the course, students develop a well-rounded artistic foundation, a personal creative style, and the confidence to pursue *careers in fine arts, illustration, teaching, freelance art practice, exhibitions*, or further professional studies in art and design
